What a cake smash session is
It's a session to celebrate the first birthday: your baby, a cake all their own, and a set decorated around a theme. The best photos are the spontaneous ones: surprised little faces, frosting-covered hands, and lots of giggles.
Sessions take place in the studio in Zapopan and last 45 to 60 minutes. Your baby sets the pace: with patience and no rush, I take photos while they explore, play, and of course taste their cake.
Themes
Every session has its own set. In the portfolio you'll find rainbow, bunny, sunshine, and hot air balloon themes, among others. Tell me on WhatsApp what you have in mind (colors, a character, or your baby's name) and we'll talk it through.
What age is best?
Most families book around the first birthday, between 10 and 13 months, when babies can sit up on their own and are curious about everything. It can be before or after the actual birthday.
Tips for the big day
- Book a time when your baby is rested and fed; right after a nap is usually ideal.
- Bring two outfits: one for the photos before the cake and one for after.
- Simple clothes in colors that go with the theme.
- An extra change and wipes: the cake ends up everywhere!
- If you'd like to be in a few photos with your baby, come ready for the first shots.
